In the Northern part of Botswana a network of streams, rivers and watercourses make up the Okavango Delta. When rain falls The Okavango Delta and pans are flooded many flamingos and other aquatic bird life as well as many game such as Zebras, wilderbeest and springbok flock to the grass banks. The Khutse and central Kalahari Game Reserve are rich in herds of antelope.
Okavango Delta is also known as Okavango Swamps, The Okavango River joined the Zambezi River millions of years ago and had a hand in the Okavango phenomenom. The Okavango Delta is onw of the worlds most prestine wildrenesses, it has a policy of high-cost, low-volumn tourism which has left Okavango Delta and its Game Reserves(Moremi) one of Africa's least crowded (with visitors) wildlife reserves.
